Sicily by Car (SBC:IM), a company listed on Euronext Growth Milan and a leading operator in the short- and medium-term leisure car rental sector in Italy (the “Company”), as part of its development plan in the Iberian Peninsula, announces the upcoming openings of rental offices inside the “Adolfo Suárez” Madrid-Barajas airport station and near the airports of Malaga and Faro in Portugal.
By September, the Company will launch operations inside two of the four terminals at the Spanish capital’s airport (T1, the historic hub for international flights, and the newer T4). In 2025, this airport handled 68.2 million passengers, reaching its all-time high (Source: Aena) and making it the largest in the world by terminal surface area, totaling approximately one million square meters.
The Company will have a 32 sq m office in Terminal 1 and a 26 sq m office in Terminal 4, in addition to a 150 sq m area dedicated to vehicle washing and a surface area of over 3,000 sq m for parking its fleet.
To further strengthen the Company’s presence in the Iberian Peninsula, two additional openings are scheduled for August: Malaga, Spain, with an office just 7 minutes away from the Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport, and Faro, on the southern coast of Portugal, where the Company will operate on a site of over 5,000 sq m—among the largest in its Iberian network.
Tommaso Dragotto, Chairman of Sicily by Car, stated: “We are continuing our expansion in the Iberian Peninsula in line with the international growth project previously announced and carried out according to a strategy planned and executed with great consistency and timeliness. Just three years after its listing on Euronext Growth Milan, Sicily by Car continues its development, confirming its ambition to establish itself as a major Italian player in the car rental sector on a European scale. These upcoming openings mark a further presence and another milestone in our path of European expansion.”
