The Group further expands its presence in Europe following its greenfield entry into Portugal and acquisitions in Croatia.
Sicily by Car, company listed on Euronext Growth Milan and one of the leading operators in the short- and medium-term leisure car rental sector, announces it has won a tender issued by AENA (Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea S.A.) to operate within Ibiza International Airport. The award includes a rental station in the arrivals area, 85 dedicated parking spaces, and approximately 2,200 MQ of facilities within the airport zone.
This win will enable the Group to extend its European footprint through a greenfield entry into the Spanish market.
It is specified that a Spanish-registered company will be established, with operations expected to commence in January 2025 in accordance with the tender’s terms. Sicily by Car will communicate the official start of its commercial activity in Spain at Ibiza International Airport in due course.
