April 30, 2024 – Sicily by Car continues its growth and expands into Croatia, announcing today that it has signed an agreement with the shareholders of Nova Gratia d.o.o. and Auto Dalmacija d.o.o., both Croatian companies, for the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of the two companies.
The operation is highly strategic and allows Sicily by Car to take another step forward in its internationalization process across Europe in countries with high added value for both leisure rentals and B2B.
Founded in 2009, Nova Gratia d.o.o. holds a leading position in the Croatian car rental market, with a fleet that in summer 2023 counted over 850 vehicles and a widespread presence throughout the territory with premium locations at airports (Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Pula) and city centers (Zagreb, Split, Trogir, Opatija).
The company has long-term partnerships with major car dealers and leasing companies, national travel agencies, and global brokers. In addition to its national brand, Nova Gratia is also the franchisor of Right Cars in Croatia, a company headquartered in London with affiliates in 35 countries (including the United States).
Auto Dalmacija d.o.o. is an authorized KIA dealer for the Split and Dalmatia area. Besides vehicle sales, it offers repair, maintenance, assistance, and consulting services. The company philosophy is focused on customer satisfaction, achieved through quality communication and continuous listening to customer needs. In the event of mechanical or body repairs, the customer is provided with a replacement vehicle of the same class at no extra cost and with no limit on usage days.
Tommaso Dragotto, Chairman and CEO of Sicily by Car: “Following our greenfield entry into Portugal, we are pleased to announce our entry into another European country with strong tourism potential, Croatia. The two companies being acquired, Nova Gratia and Auto Dalmacija, thanks to the foresight of their founders with over 15 years of experience in the sector, share with our Group excellence in terms of service quality, fleet size, and geographical presence.”
